My main inspiration for the parody trailer was the movie franchise known as Saw. However, since it is not a direct copy I decided to go with the joke title as A Blade For Cutting. My main ways of trying to represent the franchise was by trying to copy their greenish lighting, while trying to create a Saw trap that is similar to one that would be in the movie, along with using a mask to represent their iconic Billy puppet character.

The narrative I wanted to show was a very intense board game of Chutes and Ladders. Where the game looked larger using small figurines compared to a normal life size board. Sadly, however, the game doesn’t end as the characters get in a fight and end the game early. I did stop motion using Stop Motion Studio using very flexible characters to show movement throughout the scene.

For my sci-fi futuristic world I tried to think about it as if the global situations we worry about continued on. So things like the planets getting closer to us over years and global warming. I tried to demonstrate this by showing flames that are engulfing the city with the snow storm not too far away. My approach to this project, I didn’t want to show the future through inventions, instead I showed what may happen to our world if we don’t listen to scientists on an extreme level. My personal sources were the cliff, the guide rail, and the fire. My reasoning for the guide rail and cliff is to show how nature is taking back what we have forgotten as we only focus on the new. I tried to demonstrate the new with the large bright city and the solar system in the back.

My theme for the landscape is the silent addiction of caffeine. With life being so busy and chaotic it can get extremely overwhelming. A lot of times many people resort to becoming reliant on caffeine or just coffee in general. That it begins to take over your life making you not being able to function without it. Within the piece I tried to make it to show how coffee is such a large part of our habits and how something so small you can make spend loads of money and how people will bend their lives to have just a small cup of coffee as we immerse ourselves with it. I tried to demonstrate this through showing the different coffee tools skyrocketing above and being much larger than the typical coffee drinker who is soaking themselves in the cup of coffee.

In my sound walk I chose a quite calm location known as a grocery store. You will start your journey coming in from the cold rain. As you walk through someone broke a glass container and an intercom mumbles something in response. You then find yourself asking an associate where a product is, which you are directed to. After you gather all your groceries you head to the checkout line and pay. To end your journey you walk back out in the rain going to your car to drive away. I chose this location, because it seems quiet but the little added iconic sounds are recognizable by anyone.
